A 20+ years background in teaching means you benefit from my English expertise. That included 7 as an English teacher in Melbourne and in Barcelona. My students ranged from primary and special needs through to Cambridge exam level/IELTS English, PhD students, professionals learning English and in-house business English.
Needing to take writing more seriously, I took a break from teaching to study for a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing at Chisholm. Consequently I started freelance writing. Meanwhile I spent 3 years in youth education project management. My lust for writing continued and I started having success being published and shortlisted. Yay!
In Barcelona I worked with students from small language schools through to Catalan TV3, Radio Catalunya and local businesses.
Returning to Melbourne, I continued teaching English and then re-entered education management. Then along came Covid.
That’s when copywriting shouted ‘Hello!’
Anyone who knows me will tell you I’m interested in so many things. While my brain objects occasionally, it gives me tremendous scope to write about almost anything.
